Northern Brew: The First and Longest Running Coffee Shop in Pampanga!

When I think of Northern Brew, there’s usually some sort of fuzzy feeling associated with it. Maybe it’s mornings with the family, or sweet brunches with the boyfie. Maybe it’s a quick catch-up with a friend over coffee, or unlimited salad with my best buddies. Regardless, it often offers a sense of comfort. Northern Brew’s vibe is all sorts of warm, cozy, homey, and nostalgic.

A clip from Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Lifestyle section, dated March 1, 2001.

It was February of year 2000 when a group of friends opened up a coffee shop because they wanted a place where they could always eat and hang out in Pampanga. I can’t help but picture the cast of the hit TV show, FRIENDS, chilling at Central Perk!

Having been in the business for seventeen years, it’s safe to say it lived up, and still continues to live up to that purpose. It has been, still, and always will be, that place where friends, families, colleagues, and couples share stories and feelings and ideas over good food and coffee.

Northern Brew is that neighborhood cafe you’ll fall and stay in love with.

This is true not only to their customers, but to their employees as well. Some of the employees they have since day one are still with them to this day. You look at them and you just know they treat each other like family.

Kapampangans are known to have meticulous palates but this was never a problem because Northern Brew’s food is just as impressive as its stories and ambiance.

Here’s a gallery of some of their food:
