It used to be hard to find a suitable seafood place in Pampanga which can serve cajun-spiced seafood in a bucket. Now we have options, and you don’t have to go to Manila, or even travel by plane to get that “Boiling Crab” food experience.
The Orange Bucket offers an authentic boiled seafood in a bucket, with their Cajun sauce imported from the United States. Marvin Tapang, one of five owners who operates the restaurant said that ingredients to their Bucket dishes are delivered fresh daily, to maintain the superb quality, freshness and deliciousness you can only get from a fresh catch. In fact, Marvin emphasized the need to meticulously handpick the crabs, supposedly, the star of that bucket feast.
You know the Crabs are fresh when the meat is soft and delicate. Also the freshness reveals a richer taste in the palate. By the way, you can also order the spiciness level of the sauce, Marvin tells us that there are four levels, from the tame (no spice, but why??) to the wildest (XXX, oh yeah!!). The one served to us was in the wild level, a little bit of kick for sure, but next time we go back, we will go for the wilder level (kickass spice).
Orange Bucket, which is successor to the buckets made famous in the now-closed restaurant Crowing Chicken, also serves other appetizing dishes that complement the seafood buckets.
The Orange Bucket just opened last October 22 but is already planning to have a branch in Angeles City by the first quarter of next year. Expect more from the Orange Bucket, as Marvin told us they are also beefing up their menu by adding more Japanese food.
The Orange Bucket is located at Kalahi Business Park, Pet City Complex, MacArthur Highway, Brgy San Isidro, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
